The state Court of Appeals vacated a Macomb County judge’s ruling to dismiss most of the case against the Lenox Township supervisor accused of defaming and libeling the former supervisor whom he beat in an election.

In a ruling favorable to former supervisor Ron Trombly, the appeals court reinstated Trombly’s lawsuit against township Supervisor Anthony Reeder Jr. and supporter Phillip Camarda for six possible false claims about Trombly in a campaign flyer prior to the 2022 election.
