Former Prolific Solutions employee alleges false claims, misleading fundraising tactics - KUTV 2News

ST. GEORGE, Utah (KUTV) — A former Prolific Solutions employee claims he was made and used as a scapegoat after the company trained him to make false claims.

A young man, Chazz Gonzalez, has spoken out about his experience working for a for-profit company hired by charities to raise money for them.

Gonzalez was a top performer and team leader at Prolific Solutions but was fired from his position after it was revealed that the company was allegedly making false claims.

On the day in question, Gonzalez was in St. George raising money for a suicide prevention charity called Stand for the Silent. However, school employees there recorded Gonzalez and three others claiming that they worked with the school district, which was not true.

Gonzalez said that every word he said and every method he used, came from his bosses at Prolific Solutions.

He said that when the story broke, he was terminated.

In a phone conversation with his boss, Jeremiah Slaughter, Gonzalez claims Slaughter explained why he was fired.

"Unfortunately from a business standpoint, I got to think about myself and my business," Slaughter said.

Gonzalez believes that this is not fair, as he was only following the training he received from Prolific Solutions.

Prolific Solutions has not responded to requests for comment.
