Pine Brook-based Frier Levitt, a national boutique law firm focused on healthcare and life sciences, has appointed partner Christopher S. Mayer as general counsel of the firm. In addition to this new role, Mayer will continue to serve as chair of the firm’s Employment Law Practice Group.
A seasoned litigator and advisor with more than 25 years of experience, Mayer has built a national practice handling complex employment and labor matters for companies ranging from emerging businesses to Fortune 500 organizations. He represents clients across many industries providing strategic counsel on high-stakes disputes, regulatory compliance, workplace investigations, and executive compensation issues.

Mayer is ranked in the Chambers USA Guide (2025) for Labor & Employment in New Jersey. He also serves as counsel to the Home Care & Hospice Association of New Jersey and routinely represents hospitals, physician practices, home care agencies, and other healthcare providers in agency investigations and employment-related litigation.
