The Future Fund hired lawyers to investigate its procurement processes and expenses policy after a whistleblower complained that the agency had little regard for rules designed to ensure taxpayers get value for their money.
With over $335.3 billion of assets, the Future Fund is the government’s sovereign wealth manager, targeting investment returns to fund public service pensions as well as critical initiatives around affordable housing, medical research, and environmental disaster readiness.
