Geico Service Reps Win Tentative Wage Lawsuit Collective Status - Bloomberg Law

Workers who say Geico failed to pay them for all of their work may move forward with their wage-and-hour suit as a collective after a federal judge granted conditional certification.

GEICO General Insurance Co. and Government Employees Insurance Co. allegedly failed to pay service representatives for time spent logging in and out of computer programs or dealing with tech problems. The suing worker showed that there are similarly situated employees who might want to join the suit, making collective treatment appropriate, the US District Court for the Middle District of Georgia said.
