Following an investigation by Schwalb’s office, Georgetown has agreed to establish a fund so that workers can claim the wages they are legally owed.

Georgetown also agreed to pay the appropriate overtime to all non-exempt employees in the future.

A complaint about Georgetown’s overtime practices was posted to the attorney general’s workers’ rights tipline ([email protected]) in March 2022, according to a statement from the OAG.
