Georgia Law Expands Employee Use of Voting Leave - Bloomberg Tax

Georgia is expanding the use of voting leave under a bill Gov. Brian Kemp (R) signed May 4 that goes into effect on July 1.

Current state law only allows employees to take up to two hours of leave to vote on the day of a primary or election. Additionally, employees cannot take voting leave if they start work at least two hours after the polls open or end work at least two hours prior to the polls closing.
