Get ready for employment law changes with BVLRA webinar - brokernews.co.uk

THIS Thursday (27 November) BVLRA members can access a free webinar to check their readiness for employment law changes coming in 2026.

Taking place at 2pm, the service is provided via the new partnership with WorkNest . This will give members access to a team of knowledgeable advisors via phone and email, and various template documents and guidance letters in relation to both employment law and health and safety support to assist with broker recruitment.

“Big changes are coming to UK employment law,” says Simon Tebbutt, BVRLA Director of Member Services (pictured). “And 2026 is set to be a pivotal year. From stronger union powers and restrictions on fire and rehire practices to enhanced harassment prevention duties and other key reforms, the Employment Rights Bill (ERB) will reshape how businesses hire, manage, and support their people.

“The road ahead will require careful planning and proactive action. This webinar from WorkNest is your pit stop – a chance to check your systems, map your next steps, and ensure your business is ready for the changes ahead.”

At the BVRLA Leasing Broker Conference, Mark Thompson-O’Connor, Principal Employment Law Adviser and Solicitor at WorkNest, also went through Seven questions to consider for broker recruitment.
