The government has refuted a video circulating on social media claiming that the Union Finance Minister, Nirmala Sitharaman, has endorsed an investment platform promising easy monetary returns. The Fact Check Unit of the Press Information Bureau (PIB) has informed that the video is fake and AI-generated. The unit added that no such schemes had been endorsed by the Finance Minister. It added that such fabricated videos are used by Fraudsters to deceive people online. PIB further urged citizens to always verify such claims through official government sources.
