The government has debunked social media posts wherein it was claimed that there were casualties during the students’ protest in Delhi. The Fact Check Unit of the Press Information Bureau has termed the claims fake. It said that the Delhi Police has confirmed that no casualties were reported during the protests.
The government has also refuted several social media posts circulating visuals of massive crowds which claims that they are related to protest at Jantar Mantar. PIB said that the videos are either old or AI-generated.
