Senior BJP leader Pawan Sharma has urged Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to instruct his ministers to visit the snow-bound areas of Ramban, Doda and Kishtwar districts of Jammu region, where residents are experiencing extreme difficulties due to the unavailability of essential services and disruptions in connectivity and electricity caused by snowfall and adverse weather conditions.
Sharma alleged that the government’s winter preparedness exists only on paper, while the reality on the ground indicates the difficulties endured by the people. Many passengers and visitors are stranded in various locations, adding to their hardship.
“The government has demonstrated total indifference to the challenges faced by the residents of Ramban, Doda and Kishtwar, who remained without adequate connectivity and lack access to water and electricity,” he added.
