As reported by the Leicester Mercury, a doctor has been told she can no longer practice after disclosing patient information and passing off other medical professional’s work as her own
Dr Natasha Ranga first came under fire in February after accusations from the Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service (MPTS) of “serious and persistent dishonesty”, were filed against her.
The panel decided the misconduct was sufficient to erase Dr Natasha Ranga from the medical register and barring an appeal, she will no longer be able practise medicine in the UK.
Chairman of the MPTS panel, William Hoskins said: “The Tribunal is not satisfied that Dr Ranga has sufficient insight into her misconduct and considers that there remains a risk of repetition of similar misconduct.
“The Tribunal found that her repeated and persistent dishonesty, her departures from the principles set out in GMP [the good practice code for doctors] and her breaches of the fundamental tenets of the profession were incompatible with Dr Ranga’s continued registration.”
