Grant Denyer and his wife, Chezzi Denyer, have received an apology from New Idea magazine for publishing an article suggesting the 44-year-old was having an affair with his Dancing With The Stars: All Stars partner.
The apology appeared on page one underneath the magazine editor's note and was addressed to the Denyers as well as Lily Cornish, Grant's 22-year-old dance partner.
The statement acknowledged that the October 18 article that 'conveyed' the father-of-three was having an extra-marital affair was 'false'.
It also noted that Chezzi was left 'heartbroken' by the story which was featured prominently along with slogans such as 'Grant Denyer Caught Out' on New Idea's front cover.
"Are Media and New Idea acknowledge that Grant Denyer and Lily Cornish are not having an extramarital affair. They have never had an affair," the statement continued.
The company expressed 'regret' over publishing the piece and apologised to all three parties involved for the 'hurt and embarrassment' caused.
