EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT PLANNER: UASI GRANT FUNDED

This position includes technical and administrative work as a member of a planning team. Work includes supervising and directing emergency preparedness, response, or recovery plans for the County as it relates to mitigation, preparation, and recovery for hazards and related disaster response activities. The position is responsible for developing, writing, and administration of emergency management plans. The position serves as a central source of information for emergency preparedness, response, and recovery planning.

NATURE AND VARIETY OF WORK

An employee in this classification is responsible for performing high-level technical planning duties for the County Office of Emergency Management to include plan development and formulating, coordinating and maintaining emergency and administrative plans related to all facets of county mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery activities and divisional emergency management operations. Written plans will be placed on a rotational schedule approved by the Director to be reviewed for content, applicability, and updated as needed on an annual basis.
