Görg is strengthening its restructuring and insolvency practice with the arrival of two partners, bringing together specialist expertise in insolvency administration, healthcare restructurings and employment law.
Dr. Mark Boddenberg joins Görg as a partner on September 1 from Eckert Rechtsanwälte, together with his team. He is joined by Piero Sansone, who returns to Görg’s Cologne office after more than seven years at Seitz, where he became a partner in January 2023.
Boddenberg is a specialist insolvency and restructuring lawyer and a nationally active insolvency administrator. His practice encompasses insolvency administration, trusteeship and advisory work in self-administration proceedings.
A particular focus of his practice is the healthcare and social services sector, including hospital insolvencies and complex restructuring proceedings involving healthcare institutions.
Boddenberg’s arrival also adds an insolvency administration dimension to Görg’s existing advisory capabilities in the healthcare sector. The firm said the move will strengthen its capacity to handle complex insolvency and restructuring proceedings and broaden its offering beyond advisory work.
The appointment builds on an established professional relationship. According to Görg, Boddenberg and managing partner Dr. Christian Wolf have worked together on mandates and proceedings for more than 20 years.
