Guns In The Workplace: Manatee County Employees Can Bring Guns To Work - Patch

One day after a shooting at the Tropicana plant, Manatee County commissioners approve law allowing county employees to carry guns at work.

MANATEE COUNTY, FL — County commissioners approved new legislation allowing Manatee County employees to carry concealed weapons while at work, according to multiple reports.

Commissioners approved the new policy, which allows staff to bring concealed guns into county office buildings, facilities and vehicles, Tuesday in a 7-0 vote.

The only exceptions are courthouses, courtrooms, polling places and schools, Bay News 9 reported.
