Rick Mountcastle joined Guttman Buschner PLLC as of counsel to the firm’s whistleblower and complex litigation practice in Washington D.C., the firm announced Monday.
Mountcastle’s practice focuses on whistleblower and complex litigation matters involving vulnerable populations. He led the 2007 criminal prosecution of Purdue Pharma for deceptive opioid marketing and a $1.5 billion resolution against Abbott Laboratories for illegal off-label promotion of Depakote, the firm said. His work was dramatized in Hulu’s Emmy-nominated series “Dopesick.”
