H-1B Worker Who Changed Employers Sues Over Denied Green Card - Bloomberg Law

An Indian national who changed employers while on a temporary work visa is suing the government for denying his application for permanent residency.

According to the lawsuit filed Monday in federal district court in New Jersey, US Citizenship and Immigration Services denied plaintiff, Venkata Subba Rao Telaprolu’s application for a green card after determining he violated his H-1B status by changing jobs without authorization.

Telaprolu was employed as a program analyst at both Yorkia Group Inc. and Spectrasoft Technologies Inc. while on an H-1B specialty occupation visa.
