By Irene Spezzamonte (August 1, 2022, 2:10 PM EDT) -- Halliburton Energy Services Inc. asked a California federal judge to confirm an arbitration award of about $37,000 entered in its favor on several labor code violations a worker claimed, including unpaid wages for on-call time. Halliburton asked Judge Jennifer L. Thurston on Friday to confirm the award the arbitrator, retired California Superior Court Judge Frank Ochoa, entered in June on Ricardo Rodriguez's wage and hour claims, arguing the arbitrator made an impartial decision when he ruled in the company's favor. "As is apparent from the final award itself, Judge Ochoa impartially heard, considered, and adjudicated the parties' arguments and evidence," Halliburton. . .
