  • Virginia AG Jason Miyares reached a settlement with 1st Adult & Pediatrics Healthcare Services, Inc. to resolve allegations that the company violated the False Claims Act by submitting fraudulent billing to Virginia’s Medicaid program.
  • AG Miyares alleges that 1st Adult & Pediatrics routinely billed Virginia Medicaid for reimbursements for services that were not provided, including in-home health care services for hospitalized pediatric patients.
  • Under the terms of the settlement, 1st Adult & Pediatrics must pay $3 million. The settlement also resolves claims brought by a whistleblower.
