MICHIGAN — A number of proposals that would change a range of laws related to voting rights, abortion access, the state’s minimum wage and more could make their way onto your ballot this fall.
Some ballot committees that filed proposals to the Secretary of State have been collecting signatures to get on the November 2022 ballot since last year. Others still need state approval from the Michigan Board of State Canvassers. The ballot committees are made up of political consultants, lawyers, circulators and citizens pushing to change a law, make a constitutional amendment or repeal measures through a referendum.
