Hong Geum-bo Tracks Whistleblower Undercover in New Drama - 조선일보

Set to premiere on the 17th at 9:10 p.m., tvN’s new Saturday-Sunday drama ‘Undercover Miss Hong’, directed by Park Seon-ho and written by Moon Hyun-kyung, is a retro office comedy about Hong Geum-bo (played by Park Shin-hye), a 30s elite securities supervisor, who goes undercover as a 20-year-old entry-level employee at a securities firm where suspicious fund flows have been detected.

In the drama, ‘Yepi’ is a figure who suddenly disappeared after conducting an internal whistleblowing while holding the slush fund ledger of Hanmin Securities. His identity is the core mystery that permeates the entire series. To track this down, Hong Geum-bo temporarily sets aside her real name, once dubbed the ‘Yeouido Witch’, and goes undercover as a 20-year-old entry-level employee, infiltrating Hanmin Securities. However, the flow of illicit funds she is pursuing is not just a personal corruption case but leads to a massive evil. At the center of it are Chairman Kang Pil-beom (played by Lee Deok-hwa), the founder of Hanmin Securities and group leader, and Song Ju-ran (played by Park Mi-hyun), the secretary general and de facto power behind the chairman. As Hong Geum-bo enters this den of evil, curiosity grows over how she will confront the Hanmin Securities family and whether she can safely find Yepi and obtain the slush fund ledger.
