Houston Harbaugh has hired Shelly Pagac to chair its employment and labor practice group. She had worked at Pietragallo Gordon Alfano Bosick & Raspanti LLP for more than 14 years and had been a partner since October 2011.
With experience at large and midsize law firms as well as working in-house, Pagac was tapped to play a key role in expanding Houston Harbaugh’s employment law services and strengthening its commitment to supporting employers across various industries. She joined the law firm as a director.
Alex Thomson, Houston Harbaugh president, said in a prepared statement that the firm is excited to have an attorney of Pagac's caliber and experience coming aboard and leading the practice group.
Houston Harbaugh is the region's 21st-largest law firm as per the List published by the Business Times on Jan. 17, 2025, ranked by the number of local attorneys, which was 40. Pietragallo was No. 23 with 39. Both firms are based in downtown Pittsburgh. Founded in 1975, Houston Harbaugh serves Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Ohio, and it is soon moving from Three Gateway Center to Two Gateway Center.
