Labor and Employment attorney María Isabel Anaya published an article in Lexir about transnationalization of employment in Colombia. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, working from home has become common among workers. This reaffirmed the possibility of hiring foreign workers without having to bear the costs of relocation. However, Ms. Anaya says there are still gaps that do not allow a total transnationalization of employment. The applicable labor law must still define some criteria, as well as in social security issues. Ms. Anaya insists there must be a global consultation in order to achieve transnationalization of employment in Colombia.
