'I know my H-1B rules': Indian techie's viral fight with Texas whistleblower over working at food truck - The Times of India

Texas journalist Sara Gonzales, who gained fame after she claimed to have busted H-1B scams in the state, went to confront an Indian techie about whom she said she received tips that, despite being on H-1B, the man was running a food truck business. Gonzales said it was a typical H-1B-H4 scam where an H-1B comes to the US and brings a dependent and then runs a business in the name of the dependent. Gonzales said Naveen Tummala's H-1B was sponsored by Flexera Global Inc., but he was calling himself the owner of the 'Golcona Xpress' food truck, which has several outlets in the DFW area. Gonzales said she received tips that this man can be found working throughout the day inside the food truck and on Instagram videos, he calls himself 'masterchef' and posts his cooking videos. The video of the confrontation went viral as Naveen said he was neither the owner nor the chef of the food truck, and he was at the truck to set up the printer after his office work finished at 4. The conversation turned combative as Gonzales asked the man why his wife, whom he claimed was the owner, was at the home and he was working at the food truck. The man said he was not working there and came to fix something. "I just saw you take someone's order," Gonzales said as he asked him about the social media posts.
