A whistleblower wants to end his nearly 10-year False Claims Act suit alleging that International Business Machines Corp. worked with Deloitte LLP to fraudulently induce the Internal Revenue Service into signing a $265 million software contract, according to a district court filing.
Paul Cimino and IBM, in a joint motion to stay discovery filed Wednesday, told the US District Court for the District of Columbia that Cimino seeks to voluntarily dismiss the case and is in consultation with the Justice Department to obtain the federal government’s consent.
