Former Ndaragwa member of parliament Jeremiah Kioni has resurfaced with fresh details showing how Raila Odinga won the August 9 General Election.
According to Kioni, a whistleblower within the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission has shared intriguing evidence of how the electoral agency manipulated votes.
"Most of the manipulation that was done happened within the Mt. Kenya region. The whistleblower is not hiding his identity …the research was done by a non-profit organization that partners with pro-democracy leaders across Africa," Kioni explained.
Kioni said presidential results from 59% of the constituencies could not be verified but Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition party leader won with votes representing 57.53%.
"We’ve seen that 59% of the constituencies cannot be verified with absolute certainty. What can be verified is, Raila Odinga won the elections with 8,170,355 votes representing 57.53% of the votes cast. Ruto got 5,915,973 votes, representing 41.66%," the Mount Kenya politician claimed.
The lawmaker said information from the whistleblower showed that results from 144 constituencies did not correspond with what was verified by the electoral agency.
"A casual peruse of the document; we have seen that at one point 144 constituencies had their results verified and often at times, those results are far from the results that were announced by IEBC," he disclosed.
