President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has approved the proposed P6.7-trillion National Expenditure Program for Fiscal Year 2026, Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said on Tuesday.

“Intending to improve the quality of education in the Philippines and ease the lives of Filipinos, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. approved the P6.793 trillion proposed budget for next year,” Castro said at a briefing in Malacañang.

Malacañang on Tuesday stressed that any decision regarding a total ban on online gambling cannot be made hastily.

At a briefing, Palace Press Officer Claire Castro noted Sen. Raffy Tulfo’s wish for President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to voice his stance on the growing issue of online gambling in his fourth State of the Nation Address (Sona), adding that the Chief Executive is already studying the issue.
