Inês Albuquerque Castro has joined Ec Legal as a partner in the employment team, transitioning from Eversheds Sutherland. With a career spanning 25 years, she has also worked at law firms including Vieira de Almeida, Miranda & Associados and AJFF.
With experience in labor and social security law, she advises legal and human resources departments of national and international companies. Her practice includes advising on labor matters, corporate restructuring and reorganization, transfers of establishments, labor litigation, and assistance in disciplinary proceedings. She has also participated in the drafting of the 2003 Portuguese Labour Code.
She has a postgraduate degree in Public Employment Law and a postgraduate degree in European Economic Criminal Law, both from the University of Coimbra; a postgraduate degree in Labor Law, from the University of Lisbon; and a law degree from the University of Lisbon.
