A whistleblowing investigation has been launched following allegations of children in the care system being sexually assaulted and sold drugs by staff members.
The Whistleblower, who worked with looked-after children, says there is a "crisis" within the social services claiming that she is aware of care home staff providing drugs to children in their care and assaulting them.
She also said she was aware of an incident where a member of staff had sex with children in their care.

After putting these allegations to the health and social care trust, the employee met with a whistleblowing panel and an investigation has been launched.
The Whistleblower said she has worked in a number of care homes across the unnamed trust where these incidents have taken place and accused staff members have been allowed to continue working with vulnerable children.
Speaking to Belfast Live, the social worker said: "The treatment that I have experienced has brought me close to a breaking point, but I cannot sit by when there is so much abuse and malpractice taking place.
"Drug use among children in care is extremely high and continues to be, but this is aided by those who are supposed to be looking after them with care home staff bringing in prescription drugs for the children in the homes and almost grooming them for a life of drugs and disruption later in life.
