The Prosecutor General of Iran, Mohammad Moghaddam, stated on Friday that US President Donald Trump's assertion that his warnings stopped the execution of 800 individuals captured during nationwide protests was "completely false."
"The irrational and arrogant American president claimed that he prevented the execution of 800 people in Iran. This claim is completely false; no such number exists, nor has the judiciary made any such decision," Movahedi added.
According to Trump, the killing of nonviolent demonstrators and mass executions were red flags for a potential American military attack on Iran.
