Two IRS whistleblowers who are accused of disclosing Hunter Biden’s tax information will be hired as senior advisers at the Department of Treasury by the Trump administration.
Gary Shapley and Joseph Ziegler sent the allegedly confidential return information of former President Joe Biden’s son to members of Congress on April 19, 2023, and requested the chance to testify before congressional oversight committees, according to court documents. They later testified in closed-door sessions of the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability and the Ways and Means Committees, contending the Department of Justice politicized the investigation into Hunter Biden’s taxes.
