IRS Whistleblower Office Moving to Digitalization, Shorter Cases - Bloomberg Tax

The IRS Whistleblower Office is working to increase digitalization and shorten the time it takes for a whistleblower to receive an award, according to the office’s director.

The office’s efforts include looking into smartforms and the ability to file claims virtually, John W. Hinman said Friday at the NYU Tax Controversy Forum in New York.
