IRS whistleblower says he was stopped from pursuing leads in Hunter Biden case - KATU

WASHINGTON (TND) — New details were uncovered in the Hunter Biden investigation.

IRS whistleblower Gary Shapley revealed they were stopped from taking investigative measures even after finding evidence that would have led to more serious charges.

Rep. Byron Donalds, (R) Fla., joined The National Desk’s Jan Jeffcoat Thursday to discuss the issue.

“We're going to continue to handle our investigations and do them the way we've been doing over the last several months. He’s got to understand none of this information was even known by the public until we took back the majority in the House of Representatives and started doing real investigations and real oversight,” he said. “And that's how we've got to where we are right now.”

Shapley continues to raise concerns on the Hunter Biden investigation defending his claim that the president's son got special treatment from the Department of Justice.

“We are going to continue to follow the evidence and if the evidence leads to where I think it's going to go at this point that the investigation was stonewalled by the Department of Justice. That in my view is grounds for impeachment for Merrick Garland,” Byron said. “You have a head of the Department of Justice, who was slow-walking these investigations with the political brass at the IRS and then you compound that with the fact that you have the US Attorney, David Weiss, who was saying he had all the authority.
