On January 11, a photo of 35-year-old Asmongold smiling with an Asian woman went viral on X. The image attracted thousands of replies, many mocking his appearance and making offensive assumptions about the woman's interest in gamers or his wealth. Soon after, a viral post falsely claimed that Asmongold had dated a 17-year-old girl when he was 33. The post gained over 133,000 likes triggering widespread outrage and harassment online.

The viral claim wrongly linked Asmongold to Canadian streamer Kaise, confusing her with an old internet rumour from 2024-2025. Asmongold had already denied these allegations in May 2025. Asmongold and Kaise had streamed together briefly in 2024. Kaise has been a Twitch streamer since 2018 and an adult content creator for several years before meeting Asmongold.
