An Israeli soldier says the regime’s invading forces have been ordered to indiscriminately shoot and kill any Palestinian crossing “imaginary lines” they have set in the Gaza Strip, including unarmed civilians.
In an interview with Sky News, the Israeli reservist, who took part in fighting in Gaza, said, "We have a territory that we are in, and the commands are: everyone that comes inside needs to die," he said.
"If they're inside, they're dangerous you need to kill them. No matter who it is," the soldier, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said.
Recounting cases of arbitrary killing of Palestinian civilians, he said, "In one of the houses that we had been in, we had the big territory. This was the closest to the citizens' neighborhood, with people inside. And there's an imaginary line that they tell us all the Gazan people know it, and that they know they are not allowed to pass it."
"But how can they know?"
He added that people who entered these alleged no-go zones were most often shot.
"It was like pretty much everyone that comes into the territory, and it might be like a teenager riding his bicycle," he said of his experience when his unit was stationed in the Netzarim Corridor, an Israeli military zone that separates the northern Gaza Strip from the southern part.
The soldier added that they used to shoot “poor people, civilians that don't really have too many choices."
