Midland Care has named Scott A. Paxton, DO, as its new hospice and palliative care medical director, adding a nationally recognized physician leader with more than 15 years of experience in hospice and palliative medicine to its clinical leadership team. Paxton is board certified in both Family Practice and Hospice and Palliative Medicine and has spent his career advancing compassionate, patient-centered care for individuals living with serious illness. He joins Midland Care after serving as associate medical director for Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice in Wisconsin. Prior to that role, Paxton served as National Hospice Medical Director for Elara Caring, one of the nation's largest providers of hospice and home-based care, after previously serving as the organization's hospice medical director.
