Jackson Lewis Enters Appearance for US Chess, Seeks to Move Whistleblower Suit to Federal Court - Law.com

Counsel with Jackson Lewis have entered their appearance in a whistleblower suit against U.S. Chess brought by a two-time national women’s champion, and also asked for the case to be removed from New Jersey state court to federal court.

Joseph C. DeBlasio, a principal and office litigation manager of the Monmouth County, New Jersey, office of Jackson Lewis in Tinton Falls, entered an appearance on behalf of U.S. Chess and its president, Randy Bauer, in a six-count complaint filed in the Monmouth County Superior Court on July 16 by Jennifer Shahade, a two-time national women’s chess champion and women chess grand master. DeBlasio also filed a notice and petition last week for the case to be moved to federal court.
