Jared Leto Breaks Silence on ‘Absolutely and Categorically False’ Sexual Assault Allegations - Us Weekly

Jared Leto has broken his silence after a recent BBC investigation accused the Oscar winner of sexual misconduct.

“I have never sexually assaulted anyone in my entire life,” Leto, 54, said in a statement shared with Us Wednesday, July 29. “These claims are absolutely and categorically false.”

Several hours earlier, four women accused Leto of sexual assault and criminal sexual misconduct in a new bombshell BBC documentary, Jared Leto: Hollywood’s Dark Secret. One of the alleged victims claimed that she was assaulted by Leto in a “dingy, gross motel” in 2002 when she was 17 and the actor was in his 30s.

“I don’t think there [were] many words exchanged, and he opened the shower curtain and started kissing me,” the woman, who was identified as Isabel in the documentary, alleged to the BBC.

A second alleged victim claimed that Leto threatened her with sexual assault when she was 19, with another anonymous individual accusing the Thirty Seconds to Mars musician of raping her when she was 17 and legally a minor in the state of California.

Another woman, who was 14 at the time of her alleged interaction with Leto, accused the Dallas Buyers Club actor of making a lewd comment about her chest while signing her T-shirt at a 2005 music festival.

BBC further reported that nine of the 10 women interviewed in the doc were allegedly “sharing their stories publicly for the first time.”
