In court documents filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Alabama, Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter lays out what he describes as a malicious conspiracy designed to ruin his name and extort him for millions.

According to the explosive amended complaint, Jay-Z claims he was targeted by attorney Anthony Buzbee, Buzbee’s law firm, and other co-conspirators including Antigone Curis and Jane Doe — the woman who originally accused him of sexual assault. The case alleges that these individuals plotted together to coerce Jay-Z into a massive payout under the threat of falsely publicizing allegations that could destroy his family, legacy, and career.

The nightmare reportedly began in Fall 2024 when the alleged victim and her lawyers filed what Jay-Z’s team calls a “false and malicious” lawsuit, originally naming him only as “Celebrity A.” Behind the scenes, however, they allegedly sent an extortionate demand letter stating that Jay-Z would be publicly named unless he paid up.
