"Kiggans did [...] put restrictions on abortions."
Richmond, VA – In a recent 10 Wavy News story, political opportunist and extremist Jen Kiggans was caught lying about her anti-abortion record.
Kiggans claimed it was “false” that she voted to block access to abortion and put the health of Virginia women at risk – but fact-checkers found that she did indeed vote to block abortion access:
“Jen Kiggans can’t be trusted with our health. While in the Virginia legislature Kiggans voted to block expanded access to abortion putting many women at risk. Vote against Jennifer Kiggans, and her extreme stances,” stated one ad. The source for that is Senate Bills 733 (3/2/20) and SB 1276 (1/22/21).
“False,” said Kiggans. “That is false…what is false about it is my opponent continues to call me an extremist.”
However, Truth Tracker finds it to be true. Kiggans did vote for SB733 and 1276 which put restrictions on abortions.
Jen Kiggans can’t hide from her own record. As a state senator, Kiggans voted for a vile anti-abortion amendment aimed to restrict crucial funds for reproductive health care that will disproportionately impact low-income Virginians, promoted false claims about “infanticide,” and consistently voted against legislation to expand access to reproductive health care.
