Our government has committed some of the most horrific atrocities known to man.

This statement has become more apparent to me in recent months for a variety of reasons. One of these is due to CIA whistleblower John Kiriakou and the countless TikToks I have seen of him.

Kiriakou is a former CIA agent who was sentenced to 30 months in federal prison for his role as a whistleblower for the Bush-administration Torture Program following the events of 9/11/2001. He served 23 of those 30 months and was released to house arrest as part of a plea bargain he took.

The only person arrested in relation to the program despite not being involved in the slightest, Kiriakou has since blown up on TikTok.

While he was released over 10 years ago in 2015, interviews and stories of his have recently clawed their way into the spotlight and sparked outrage.

These interviews include experiences of Kiriakou’s when he worked as a CIA intelligence officer and the Counterterrorism Center’s Chief of Operations in Pakistan.
