John Ramsey is pushing back forcefully against a viral claim he says has absolutely no basis in reality.
The father of JonBenét Ramsey is responding after TikTok users began circulating allegations that his daughter appeared in Jeffrey Epstein–related federal files. The speculation centers on a redacted photograph from Epstein’s home that shows the disgraced financier with a young girl perched on his shoulders, prompting some online users to suggest—without evidence—that the child could be JonBenét.
“Absolutely no truth to it,” John told TMZ in a statement on Tuesday January 27. “I haven't seen this, but with A.I. anything is possible.”
He added, “I figured one of these days I would be accused of being an Epstein pal. Hasn't happened yet. Internet people can be very cruel.”
According to other outlets, the image at the center of the rumor does not identify the child pictured, whose face is fully redacted. Still, the claim spread quickly online, along with separate allegations that Epstein associate Ghislaine Maxwell attended JonBenét’s sixth birthday party—another assertion John has flatly denied.
JonBenét was just 6 years old when she was found strangled to death in the basement of her family’s Boulder, Colorado, home on December 25, 1996. Her autopsy listed the cause of death as “asphyxia by strangulation associated with craniocerebral trauma.” Nearly three decades later, no arrests have been made.
