Journey to Hope, Health and Healing and its former CEO will pay ten-point-two-million-dollar to resolve allegations that it submitted false claims for services.
Journey operated outpatient substance use treatment facilities when it knowingly filed claims with Medicaid and Medicare for services that were not provided from January of 2015 to July of 2021.
The complaint further alleged that Journey falsified documents by altering and backdating records to make it appear that they were complying with the accreditation requirements necessary to bill Rhode Island Medicaid.
