Summer Heather Worden pleaded guilty on November 14, 2025, and was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Alfred H. Bennett to three months in federal prison, followed by two years of supervised release. Worden was also ordered to pay $210,000 in restitution. During the hearing, evidence was presented that Worden falsely accused her former spouse of illegally accessing her bank account from the International Space Station amid their divorce. Despite an internal investigation clearing the former spouse, Worden continued to promote the false claim to media outlets and hired a consultant to amplify it. The court also heard that Worden publicly released her former spouse’s personal information.
