Kari Lake Throws Weight Behind Mike Lindell as RNC Chair - Newsweek

Former Arizona Governor candidate Kari Lake has backed fellow Donald Trump loyalist and 2020 election denier Mike Lindell to become the next chair of the Republican National Committee (RNC).

In a tweet, Lake, who lost her midterm gubernatorial election to Democrat Katie Hobbs, endorsed the MyPillow CEO and conspiracy theorist to replace current RNC chair Ronna McDaniel, along with former Trump campaign attorney Harmeet Dhillon.

Lindell, one of the most frequent and prominent pushers of the false claim that Trump lost the last presidential election due to widespread voter fraud, confirmed in November his intentions to run for RNC.

"Wish we could elect TWO Chairs for the RNC. We have GREAT candidates in both Harmeet Dhillon & Mike Lindell," Lake tweeted on Tuesday, December 13.

"President Trump saved the Republican Party—it's time for the GOP Leadership to stand up and Fight for US!"

Lindell has said that he would not take a salary if elected as RNC chair.

"I would not take a paycheck from the RNC. I'd put all the money back into it," Lindell told Insider on December 6. "If I'm running it, the money that goes to it will actually go to doing good."

Dhillon also confirmed her intentions to run for RNC chair during an appearance on Tucker Carlson Tonight on December 5.

"Republicans are tired of losing, and I think that we really need to radically reshape our leadership in order to win," Dhillon told Carlson.
