The youngest White House press secretary ever Karoline Leavitt - who is married to a man 32 years her senior - has been accused of claiming "Jesus Christ didn't have electricity" in a press conference. The online accusation caused confusion online, when Google searches for "Jesus didn't have electricity" shot up as users on X and TikTok posted the claims.
When asked about the tariff war between Canada and the United States after the prime minister of Canada said he would consider cutting off electricity to America if Donald Trump continues to impose tariffs, it was alleged Leavitt said: "They want you to panic, but President Trump wants you to remember Jesus didn’t have electricity either and he did just fine."
It came after Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said on Wednesday, when asked if Canada would cut off possibly energy to America if Trump continued with his sweeping tariffs: “Everything is on the table.”
