Key changes to employment law in 2025 - Accountancy Daily

As parliament was closing for the recess last month, the Employment Rights Act 2025 (ERA 2025) was given Royal Assent on 18 December and finally became law. The impact this will have on all employers in England, Scotland and Wales, but not Northern Ireland, cannot be overstated. There’s a lot of work to come for anyone involved in HR in reviewing, amending and adapting organisational policies to comply with the changes the Act will bring.

My client has a domiciliary care business, employing people in a range of positions from zero-hours carers to those running the office, dealing with people receiving care and managing staffing issues.
