Singer and actor Kim Min-jong refuted allegations of involvement in illegal gambling, calling them “clear falsehoods.”
Kim stated through his legal representatives, OhKims Law, on the 19th, “We clearly state that the claims currently being discussed about us are untrue.”
He added, “After thoroughly verifying the facts, we will pursue civil and criminal legal action where necessary. We will act cautiously to avoid disappointing those who have long supported and believed in us.”
Kim’s legal team emphasized, “Baseless rumors and malicious suspicions about Kim Min-jong are spreading indiscriminately. We clearly state that all claims are unequivocally false.”
They continued, “The mental anguish and damage to social reputation endured by Kim Min-jong, his family, and long-time supporters due to sensational and provocative falsehoods have reached an irreparable level.”
The statement concluded, “Kim Min-jong will confront these allegations head-on without compromise to prove his integrity.”
The allegations were raised by singer MC Mong during a live broadcast the previous day. MC Mong claimed that an illegal gambling group involving celebrities exists and that Kim Min-jong is one of its members.
