The family of late actor Kim Sae-ron is suing YouTuber A, who reported on the deceased's recent situation while alive.
On the 17th, the legal representative of the late Kim Sae-ron's family, lawyer Bu Ji-seok from Bu-yu Law Firm, will file a complaint against YouTuber A for defamation related to Kim Sae-ron at the Korean National Police Agency.
The family believes that A has produced and posted several videos related to the deceased since 2022, which include false information that defamed Kim Sae-ron on multiple occasions.
In particular, it is a fact that the late Kim Sae-ron was in a relationship with Kim Soo-hyun, and the claim by A that it was a "staged act" is the clear reason for the lawsuit.
Additionally, lawyer Bu plans to hold a press conference on the same day before submitting the complaint to clarify the purpose of the lawsuit.
Kim Sae-ron was found dead at home on the 16th of last month. Since then, the family has indicated a strong response toward A, stating that they were distressed by the YouTube video reports that contained the deceased's private life.
In response, A claimed in a video, "I contacted the family the day after Kim Sae-ron's funeral, on the 20th. The message was to express that I wanted to apologize morally. I just wanted to bow my head to the grieving family. If they were angry with me, I wanted to listen, and since I could not pay my respects in person, I wanted to express my condolences."
